Thank you for visiting our new Postmark: Charlotte microsite!

On behalf of the entire Housing and Residence Life team, "Thank You!" for visiting Postmark: Charlotte, our microsite for first-time residents. This microsite works in conjunction with our postcard program ... the postcard that provided you with the link to this page was one of the ten cards in this program that will be mailed around the first of each month from the time your student applies until move-in day.

Each month's postcard features a unique theme that your student can use to continue to explore all of the options, services, and resources that will be available to them as new 49ers! The first card your student should have received focused on the specialized programs that the Department of Housing and Residence Life offers. We are pleased to offer a wide variety of unique programming and specialized housing options, including a limited number of rooms in: our International House, our Substance Free Lifestyle program, Women's Only Housing, Honors in Residence Housing, and our Learning Community programs. We encourage your student to consider all of these options as they finalize their housing application and to be aware that additional application materials may need to be submitted in order to participate in these programs.

In the coming months, we will cover topics that include: leadership opportunities for your student, our learning community programs, the benefits of living on-campus, and information about checking assignments (which are typically made in May).

We encourage you to explore our Parent Area which will have additional content added to it over the coming months and to consider registering with our information system, Nyumba, which sends out periodic e-mail messages on important dates, deadlines, and other Housing related news.
