Residential Telephone Services | ||||||||||||||||
|
Local telephone service is provided in each room as part of the fee for residential services in our highrise, suite, and apartment buildings. Residents of our Greek Village location are provided with a common-area telephone for each floor of their chapter's house. Residents in all of our on-campus facilities enjoy the University's expanded "free" local calling area that includes the entire 704 and 980 area codes, as well as portions of the 828, 803, and 336 area codes. Long Distance service is not provided with the campus local phone service. Students may purchase calling cards or use their cellular service to make long distance calls. Students must provide their own telephone and RJ-11 telephone cable to use these services. Voice mail is not included. Students may, however, connect an answering machine to their in-room phone line. Private line services are available to all residents in our highrise, suite, and apartment buildings.
