Housing Gold: The SOAR Parent Newsletter was designed by the Department of Housing and Residence Life to help provide basic information to parents of our new residents.

The newsletter is packed full of important information such as: payment information, due dates, technology issues, parking information, meal plan information, and so much more!

We have developed two different editions of our newsletter for our two primary parent audiences.

The Incoming Freshman Edition includes basic housing information related to our programs, service offerings, and important dates and deadlines. This edition also includes information about on-campus housing's role in ensuring the personal, academic, and emotional growth of undergraduate students and how that growth translates into success for the student during their tenure at UNC Charlotte.

The Transfer Student Edition includes all the basic information provided to parents in the Incoming Freshman Edition, but also includes an important message from Housing and Residence Life on the importance of on-campus housing for transfer students and its impact on their academic success.
