Housing and Residence Life has both professional and student staff to assist you with concerns and to provide fun and educational activities.
Residence Coordinators
Residence Coordinators (RCs) are full-time professionals who live in the residence community and are responsible for the educational and operational functions of the living area. They manage residential areas and supervise the Graduate Assistants (GAs) and Resident Advisors (RAs). RCs have college degrees and significant experience working with college students. Much of an RCs time is spent serving as an active resource for students and staff who reside in their hall/area.
Graduate Assistants
Graduate Assistants (GAs) support the Residence Coordinators in managing and supervising many of our residential areas. In apprenticeship positions, these graduate students gain experience in all facets of housing and residence life while pursuing advanced degrees.
Resident Advisors
Resident Advisors (RAs) live in the highrises, suite areas, and in the Village apartments. These student staff members provide assistance, information, and support to residential students. RAs are selected for their leadership potential, interpersonal abilities, positive, caring attitudes, and sense of commitment. RAs are your primary resource for campus information and assistance.
Student Assistants
Student Assistants work in the building/area offices and help provide key services to the residents and staff. They answer questions, provide information, and check out hall equipment/games.
Desk Receptionists
Desk Receptionists primarily issue loan keys (when residents are locked out) at the 24-hour Desks in Scott and Oak Halls. Additionally, they answer questions, provide information, and check out hall equipment/games.
