In an effort to combat spam, phishing, and other malicious attacks from ever reaching your e-mail in-box, many organizations are implementing e-mail scanning software. At The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, we employ such software to scan both incoming e-mail for threats and to block outgoing e-mail that could pose a threat to you. Other organizations, such as free e-mail account providers Yahoo!, America Online, and Google, as well as pay services, such as MSN and Earthlink, also use this technology to protect your e-mail in-box. And sometimes, it is even built in to the software you use to get your e-mail, like Outlook and Outlook Express! To make sure you receive all of the mail from Housing and Residence Life you need to manage your account with us, as well as get announcements about room changes, Return to Campus Living, and other important announcements, you should add our e-mail addresses to your safe lists or Address Books (this practice is often called "white listing"). To make this easy for you to do, we have provided links to instructions on the web that will help you set up your Address Book or Safe List, below. There are four e-mail addresses you want to add:
*The instructions provided via the links above are the intellectual property of eDialog, Inc. and are provided from their servers. Housing & Residence Life nor The University of North Carolina at Charlotte provides support for the instructions.
